The Effenaar on Dommelstraat has been Eindhoven's pop venue for decades — two halls, everything from touring bands to club nights. Doors are usually at eight, the support act around half past.
The timing
That leaves a gap most restaurants are bad at: you want to sit down at six and be finished by half past seven, without being rushed and without waiting twenty minutes for the bill. A short menu helps. So does a kitchen that opens at five.
From Kerkstraat it is about seven minutes on foot to Dommelstraat, straight through the centre. No need to move the car.
